Description: What a beautiful bed. The proportions, choice mahogany woods and styling make this bed exceptional. The bed will accommodate a standard full or double size mattress and box springs and I designed to hold a canopy if desired. The tall posts are exquisitely turned with reeding. The graceful curved top headboard has an applied carving and the most wonderful, dramatic graining. The side rails are attached using its original iron bed bolts. Notice the original brass bed bolt covers. When the bed is set up, it is extremely sturdy and sound. The finish is original and in excellent condition having a rich color and patina. We currently have a variety of chests of drawers to compliment this wonderful federal style bed.
