Description: This small mahogany chest of drawers is called a bachelor's chest and is based on a 1770's design. The cabinet is extremely well made and in the manner of Kittinger Furniture Co. The top has a narrow band of inlay along the edge. Below is a slide out shelf and 4 drawers graduated in size. Each drawer has inlaid banding and their original cast brass hardware. The drawer interiors are made of oak - a true sign of quality. The chest rest on Chippendale style cut out block feet. The finish is original and in excellent condition. The size of this piece makes it extremely versatile, such as locating in a hallway, as an end table or bedside table. All the drawers open and close smoothly.
