Description:
This 2-piece breakfront is ideal to use as a china closet or bookcase. The top has a wonderful dentil moulding on the front and sides. The four glass doors have a lovely grillwork design using individual panes of small glass and delicate mouldings. Notice how the 2 center doors step out. The center doors have 2 adjustable shelves and each side door has 2 also. All the doors have their original working locks and cast brass key escutcheons. The base cabinet has 3 drawers with flame mahogany fronts and delicate inlay. The cast brass pulls are original. Below are 4 doors with beautifully grained mahogany and line-inlaid panels. Inside, each has a single adjustable shelf. All have their working locks, key escutcheons and a key to work all of them. The cabinet rests on handsomely cut out block feet. The bookcase/china closet retains its original finish, which is in excellent condition.
