Description:
The Lux Clock Company produced a large number and variety of clocks. Many have become very sought-after collectibles and bring high prices. This particular Lux clock is cased in an equally collectible pottery jug that was made by the Brush-McCoy pottery company of Zanesville, Ohio. BM was founded in 1911 after the original J.W. McCoy Pottery Company was destroyed by a disasterous fire in 1909. Early pottery by this company had no identifying marks. However, after 1915 there were name and logo marks on their wares. The Lux clock in this fine piece runs well and keeps good time. This clock is pictured on page # 45 of Sanford's BRUSH MCCOY Book with the title "JUG TIME". It was Patented on October 21st, 1924. We have priced it favorably for either pottery collectors or Lux fanciers. Free shipping will be offered on this item within the Continental United States. Don't overlook this scarce item that is also very decorative as well as functional.
