Description: This very unique and unusual item is approximately 200 years old. Made of very heavy solid copper washed in nichel (of which alot of the nichel has worn off through the years). When you open the lid you will see a round tray the full diameter. When you lift out the tray you see herb and spice containers with little lids. When you take these out, the area underneath is hand hinged in half so that 1/2 of the diameter opens and about a 1" area in heigth and the whole diameter will hold the pita breads. This is a wonderfully unique and beautiful item. Also check out the heavy latch on front and the extremely heavy chains on back that attach the lid to pail.
