Material: Terracotta, fired ceramic clay pottery
Period: Early 20th century, conservatively
Dimensions: 6 1/4" height, 4 1/8" width, 4" depth; weight is 1.50 pounds
Condition: Magnificent. Held in private collection, the condition of this piece remains unchanged from the time of its original 1950's field acquisition. Completely intact, NO evidence of restoration noted; structurally sound, significant patination throughout. Make special note of the intricate coiffure, sublime facial expression, classic posturing and use of red slip - all indicative of a funerary offering piece - a splendid specimen!
