Description: This piece stands as a mangnificent example of some of the finest furniture of the Regency period, those transitional years between the passing of Louis XIV and the ascendancy of young King Louis XV to the Throne of France. Created in Kingswood and trimmed with sold brass Ormolu trim, it has multiple inlays of bird's eye elm on each of its six drawers as well as its sides. With a solid slab of polished verde marble featuring a classic edge design crowning its top, this piece is truly an outstanding example of the art of the ebeniste.
