Description: Antique French "Lit Bateau" in burl walnut veneer with a lovely trfle detail on the outside face of the head and goot boards. Excellent condition, old repair to the center of the front rail. These beds were designed to be placed against a wall, the outside of the head and foot boards are finished, so the bed can stand freely with just the back edge against a wall. The side rails detach for ease of moving and shipping, and there are small wooden wheels under the four corners to make moving the bed easier.
