Lot: 25 B&G Blue & White Porcelain Partial Service 20C
Description: Lot: 25 Bing & Grondahl Blue and White Porcelain Partial Service, 20th C. The lot comprises of one creamer numbered 85 B; three sugars (two missing original lids) numbered 94 A; one toothpick holder numbered 52 C; one salt shaker numbered 6; two rectangular trays numbered 216; one small ovoid tray numbered 52 D; four cups numbered 103 and 475; eleven small dishes numbered 103; and one loose lid, possibly originally to a coffee pot. Each piece hand-painted throughout the exterior in the popular chinoiserie blue fluted design. Each piece is marked on the base with the B & G, Denmark hallmark stamp in green. Dimensions: Ranging in size from the smallest item (toothpick holder): 2.25in. High, 2in. Wide.; to the largest item (rectangular tray): .75in. High, 8.5in. Wide, 5.25in. Long. Total weight: 8lbs. 4oz. Condition: The lid of the teapot does not appear to be original to the ware, although the lid is original to the set and a close fit. Two of the sugars are missing their lids. The salt shaker is missing its original stopper at the base. The creamer has one minor chip along the rim. One of the rectangular trays has minor areas of soiling along the base. The ovoid tray has one small circular chip, .125in. Diameter, located along the rim. Two of the cups each have one vertical hairline crack running down the side. Four of the dishes each have minor chips along the rims. There are very few minor glaze imperfections and light scratches throughout the surface of all the items. Otherwise, the pieces are in good condition.
