Description: Lot: 8 ANDO Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Dishes, 20th C. Lot Includes a set of 6 matching round dishes enameled with a red, pink and blue flower pattern on a silver foil ground and a pair of shaped dishes enameled with a similar pattern. The back of each dish is enameled in black and features a red and gold sticker/label: "ANDO CLOISONNE". Dimensions: 6 Circular Dishes: 5-1/8" Diameter, 1/2" Deep. 2 Oval Dishes: 5" Long, 4-1/4" Wide, 1/2" Deep. Total Weight: 2.75lbs. (44oz.) Condition: There are small chips/dents to the rim of four of the six round dishes causing the surface of the enamel to craze. The chip to one dish is slightly larger and measures 7/8" long. There is some light shelf-wear (surface scratching) to the underside of each dish. There are a few tiny surface chips/flakes to the enameled rims of the two oval dishes with some minor crazing to the surface of the enamel. Otherwise, the pieces are in fair condition.
