Description:
To say that Lledo was a British company is an understatement. They were fiercely proud that their products were designed and manufactured in Great Britain. The founder, Jack Odell, had for many years been a partner in the Lesney Products Company, makers of the famous Matchbox die cast toys. Mr. Odell formed Lledo (Odell spelled backward) in 1982 and located his operation in Enfield in northern London, working with some of the former Matchbox people. Unfortunately, Lledo is no longer manufacturing die cast toys. This Chevron Promotion/commemorative die-cast model, issued in 1994, is a 1935 Ford Articulated Semi-Truck and Trailer for Crown Gasoline. It is marked "No. 13" on the bottom, and it is approximately 5" long and 1-1/4" wide. It is in its original box and packaging and is in pristine condition. Any die-cast collector should consider purchasing this Lledo as an integral addition to their collection, or would also be a wonderful gift for the miniature car collector who collects gas station-related memorabilia. Tom's Treasures has only this one unique Lledo 1935 Ford promotion die-cast, so don't delay -- order today!
