Description: The "Norwich Line" of mantle clocks which were manufactured by the New Haven Clock Company around 1907 have become much-sought-after by today's collectors. This particular design with the bold LIONS HEADS is by far the most attractive and hard to find. In their year-2000 price guide, Arlington Books valued this clock at $395, so.....seven years later, our firm asking price is a real bargain. The reason that we are offering this particular clock for such a low amount is the fact that a former owner replaced the dial (face) of the clock. The extra holes around the dial pan are evidence of this "upgrade" although they are not visible when the door is closed. Except for that, we'd price the clock for at least $100 more. The dial looks fine as the clock stands on the shelf, so we are confident that the new owner will be pleased with it. We are therefore selling it 'as-is'without a return privilege. The eight-day brass movement runs well and has been recently serviced and cleaned. The door glass is original and in excellent condition. In fact, overall, this is a really nice and very scarce model clock which we have only found one other time through the years.
