Description: Here is a beautiful Limoges 13" charger. This hand-painted plate has a scalloped edge, with scallops of alternating sizes. There is a gold rim on the edge. The hydrangeas are painted in very a appealing soft green palette, with a dark green area serving as contrast and accent. A blush of soft pink infuses the plate with warmth.

The backstamp is "Limoges France" in underglaze green, and an artist's initials are painted overglaze. The condition is excellent, with no cracks, chips or repairs. There is no loss to the color, and only two tiny scratches (1/4") on the surface. The charger likely dates to the 1890's. The painting and the shape of the plate make it an especially beautiful piece, and it would be a fine addition to your collection.
