Description:
A magnificent, turn of the century Lenox tea set and dessert service for 12 in a classic urn form. The pattern consists of gilded rims and handles, blue enamel jewelling, and gold piping and jewelling on an ivory background. Each piece is ornately monogrammed "FCH" in gold. The set consists of a teapot and lid on a square pedestal base, a sugar bowl and lid on a square pedestal base, a creamer on a square pedestal base, a waste bowl with sterling silver holder, a 4 1/2 inch tall vase, 12 7 inch diameter plates, 12 5 inch diameter saucers, and 12 3 1/2 diameter cups, for a total of 44 pieces. Each piece bears the Lenox wreathed L logo and Frederick Keer's Sons Newark, N.J. in teal on the bottom. In addition, the waste bowl is marked 1234/70 in hand painted gold on the bottom, the vase 686/70, the 7 inch plates 611/70, and the cups 668/70. This is truly a beautiful set in pristine condition.
