For Sale I have a lovely piece of Art Glass made by Tiffany Studios of New York, New York. The Art glass Vessel is a Tumbler and it is done in the ever Popular Gold Favrile Iridescence.The Tumbler display a wonderful Gold Iridescence with strong Fuchsia's and some Platinum Blues. It is decorated with Small Pigtail Prunts. There are 4 of them Running along the mid section and 4 more along the bottom. There is a total of 8 of these. The lower ones are positioned so they sit exactly in the middle of the ones that are above them. This Tumbler is part of a Decanter or Carafe Set that also had the smaller Cordials and was known as the "Victoria" Pattern. You see these cordials from time to time on but you never see these tumblers. I would have to say that most of them were broken just like any tumblers in any Glass Collection.
The Tumbler is considered to be in excellent to mint condition as there are no cracks, nips, flea bites or dings. I don't see any scratches in the Gold Iridescence as well. The Tumbler is signed on the bottom with Tiffany's etched counter clockwise "L.C.T." Cipher as well as the number "N 3263". This means this piece was made Circa 1900. This would be considered an early piece of Tiffany Favrile.
Those of you that collect the Pigtail Prunts Decanter or Carafe Set pieces I can't over emphasize the purchasing of this very hard to find piece. The Gold iridescence is Brilliant just like Steuben's Aurene Glass. This would also look outstanding in any Gold Iridescence Art Glass collection as well.
