Description: Late nineteenth century French bronze and ivory statue signed A. Gori [Affortunato Gori (Gory), French, 1895-1930]. Gori is a French artist known for portraits, busts, dancers, and nude sculptures. His work has sold in several auction houses for up to $12,000. This bronze and ivory statue of a woman dancing measures approx. 16.5" in height and is in fine original condition with no signs of prior restoration. The hands, arms, face, legs, and feet of the woman are made from ivory, and the woman's lavishly decorated dress is bronze with a wonderful gold patina. The statue stands on a marble base with a red velvet protective cover and in signed on the lower back of the bronze dress "A. Gori."

Condition: Fine original condition, no signs of restoration. Year: Late Nineteenth Century.
