Description: Late eighteenth century English mahogany signed tallcase clock [longcase or grandfather clock]. This ornate clock has the finest mahogany, veneers, and inlay work seen in a period tallcase clock. The brass dial has a silvered boss engraved "Kistler Penzance" The outstanding inlay and veneers [see photos] exemplify this wonderful clock. The movement is eight day time and strike, striking the hours on a cast bell. The glass finials, movement, seatboard, are all original. Height: 103.5", width: 21" at the waist, depth: 10.5" at the base.

Status: For Sale Reference#: 3137

Condition: Fine original condition, case French polished, calendar inoperative, otherwise all mechanics in fine working order. Year: Circa 1780-1790.
