Description:
This lovely late 18th century Country French chest of drawers
comes direct to you from the fabled flea markets of Southern
France. This authentic investment quality piece of French
furniture is a show stopper, and dates to circa 1790-1820. True
country French just doesn't get any better. This monumnetal
three drawer chest is sophisticated in its simplicity, straight
country lines accented by hand forged brass pulls and
escutcheon--but what really sets this piece apart is the carved
basket floral motif at the base--Soo French! The overall
condition is very good and shows signs of it more than two
centuries. . .interestling there are initials carved into the corner
which is not atypical of true country French pieces. We had this
piece French waxed in our Paris workshop and the drawers
stabalized before shipping it to the States. . .it is now ready to
become you next treasured heirloom!
