Description: Here's a neat old kitchen item - a large trencher or oval chopping bowl. It was probably used for kneading dough, chopping and whatever other things neededd to be done in the kitchen. Am not sure if it was refinished in the early 50's as I don't know what the "orangish" color is. Wear can be seen in the pictures. On the bottom can be seen where one would hold the trenched on the end while doing the "kitchen" thing. Picture it filled with fruit or small pumpkins, etc on an old country table!
