Description: Early 20th century large Satsuma vase - cobalt blue background, with design of peonies on one side, and roses on the other. Typical tube lining to designs. Very large, measuring 63.5 cm tall (25 inches). For NZ market only. Has a blind firing crack in the body - original to manufacture. (It’s difficult to make an earthenware vase of this size, damage sometimes occur in firing). It doesn’t effect the stability of the vase. Minor chip to top rim. Very arresting item.
