Description: White plate with splatter gilded edges. Queen Victoria in the centre, with an “In Memoriam” banner. Underneath are her birth and death dates and the typically Victorian verse “A thousand claims to reverence, closed in her as Mother, Wife and Queen”. Plate is slightly dished shape, and measures 24 cm diameter (9.1/2 inches). It has a little crazing above the portrait as is typical for an earthenware body. Very good condition. No damage.
