Description: Based in Trenton New Jersey, the Mueller Mosaic Company was known for it's fabulous arts and crafts tiles. They do not surface often, and they are one of my personal favorites. One side of this tile is adorned with the American Flag, the other the Union Jack. A crown sits atop the sheild. The glazes are curdled and mottled. It is a terrific piece, and I have never seen another like it. Chances are there aren't many out there. The back is unmarked, as is most of this company's work. It has deep grooves incised and a factory cut hole for hanging. There is one shallow flake to the right edge.
