Description: Antique, primitive Munising sugar maple dough bowl, with unusual lipped rim, circa 1920's. The Munising Wood Products company produced wooden bowls from 1915 to 1955 in the town of Munising, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The bowls were made of premium hardwood, usually sugar maple. This collectible bowl has a slightly oval shape and measures approximately 3 3/4 to 4 inches high, 13 1/4 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inches deep. The block letters of the branded trademark date the bowl to around the 20's. (Please see the Alger County, Michigan website for information about Munising wooden bowls.) The bowl is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. There are some knife marks, surface wear, and discoloration, including a black and white stain. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $12.00.
