A Large Antique English Old Sheffield Plate Meat Dish & Cover. The Base Is Circa 1820's And The Cover Is Circa 1825. Base Stands On 4 Wood Insulated Feet, With Insulated Wood Handles, And Has A Tap On One Side To Fill With Hot Water To Keep Your Food Nice & Hot. There Is A Gadroon Border On The Base. Minor Dents To The Base And Age Cracks On The Wood Insulators. The Cover Has Melon Shape Panels With A Crest On The Larger Front Panel, And Engraved Decorations On The Four Smaller Side Panells. The Dome Also Has Some Minor Denting Consistant With Age. A Great Decorative As Well as Usable Antique Centerpiece That Would Grace Any Sideboard.
