SCARCE set of 9 antique black glass "FABRIC" buttons on original, C. 1900 salesman card. These remarkably realistic look-alikes create the illusion of printed silk. Buttons have lustered silver, pewter and purple "printed silk" design and 4 black triangle faceted segments. Four way brass box shanks, excellent condition, mounted on original manufacturers salesman sample card. The paper card is impressed with pale green lettering "Nouveaute". Four sizes : 6, 8, 12, 14 - (9/16", 3/4", 1 3/32", 1 1/4").
