Description: Oriental imported box of lacquered wood, original ticket from the Lafayette Galerie in Paris on the bottom. Very fine work and detail, some age of the finish (finish cracking on one side and the front where the base joins the sides. This cracking is normal in a box of this age and type.) The scene is of birds flying within cascading foliage of a tree in bloom. The gold leaf is in several different tones. Key is missing, but the box is open. The escutcheon is a double plate.
