That's all there is to it! Welcome! We have for sale a charming, mid 20th century Asian Oriental lacquer and mother of pearl cigarette or trinket box. It measures a slim 1 1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches front to back. The hinged lid is intricately decorated with a scene of a wandering scholar on a hillside underneath a willow tree, being met by a farmer or peasant mounted on an ox. The lacquer is a deep, dark brown, almost black. There is a small amount of chippy wear to the bottom edges and corner, otherwise this box is in very good condition with the mother of pearl intact.
