Description: Handturned and handpainted Kutani Japanese vase, decorated with a butterfly, flowers and leaves. Metallic gold accents, trim around upper and lower rims. Circa 1900 or earlier. Sand grit in glaze on bottom, no mark. Measures 9.5"h. Translucent porcelain shows turnings and light through the body of the piece. Highly detailed and beautiful, with no chips or cracks.
