Collected from the: Kulango Lorhon (Loron) peoples in north-east Ivory Coast region of West Africa. Also attributed to the Abron Akan, Senufo, Lobi and Gan.
Material: Brass, old lost wax casting of copper/zinc alloy
Dimensions: 3.75" height, 1.5" width, 1.5" depth
Weight: 2.9 ounces, or approximately 80 grams
Condition: Exceptional, no damage, exquisite light chocolate patina of age. Held in a private Parisian collection, the condition of this piece remains unchanged from the time of its original 1950's field acquisition - splendid facial expression on this female!
