Description:
This fine clock retains its original pendulum, signed "beat scale"; signed movement; hourly bell and two good paper labels on the back of the case (see photo). There are no extra holes around the dial (which is a replacement). The solid Walnut case has lots of gold-filled, etched designs and some applied ornaments, carved pieces on both the top and sides. Made around 1875, this model has always commanded premium prices but we are able to offer for a very reasonable amount due to a fortunate purchase from a long-time Southern friend.
