Description:
Beautifully engraved Certificate from the famous Kruger & Toll Company issued in 1928. This historic document was has an ornate border around it with a backprint of a building in Sweden. This item has the printed signatures of the company's officers including, Paul Toll and Ernst Kreuger. This item is over 72 years old. Ivan Kreuger, a Swede, was the famous "match king" who acquired monopolies to sell matches in various countries around the world. He controlled various operating companies through a pyramid-based holding company. When the pyramid tottered at the start of the Great Depression, Kreuger took his life. This item is especially interesting because it is printed in four languages, English, Swedish, German and French. Two languages are printed on the side, and two languages are printed on the other side with the identical certificate on both sides.
