Description: This KPM plaque depicts The Vision after the original painting by the important Austrian-born artist, Gabriel Cornelius Ritter von Max (1840-1915). Plaque measures 7.5 by 10 inches (19.0 by 25.4 cm) and frame measures 9.5 by 12 by 1.5 inches (24.1 by 30.5 by 3.8 cm). Plaque and frame weigh 2.5 lbs. (1.1 kg). Plaque is in excellent condition with no cracks and no repairs. The KPM sceptre and other impressed marks can be seen on the reverse, along with the title of the work in both French and German plus reference to von Max. We have not deciphered the writing in pencil on the rear. Plaque resides in a giltwood frame and matte board covers the four sides on the rear. We have not removed the plaque for inspection and are selling the item "as-is". This item resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment.
