Description:
This is an antique royal commemorative plate made by J. and G. Meakin, Hanley Staffordshire, England in 1911 for the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, grandparents of the present Queen Elizabeth II of England. The ironstone plate measures 10 inches in diameter with an overall blue color and full color portraits of the royal couple. This is the younger looking set of pictures used by various potters on their souvenir coronation pieces. The plate is in good condition with 2 small old back rim chips, some wear marks and overall crazing but is still a very nice and increasingly rare piece of British royal memorabilia. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
