Description:
This is a wonderful piece of British royal memorabilia. It's a bone china teacup, cup or mug by Aynsley China, England made to commemorate the coronation in 1937 of King Edward VIII. Edward was never crowned be cause he abdicated to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Edward VIII was the uncle of the present Queen Elizabeth II. The bone china cup is 2.5 high by 3 inches in diameter. The cup or mug is in excellent, mint condition with not even any gold wear. This has been cherished in a china cabinet and is part of a royal memorabilia collection I recently acquired. Lovely!
