Description: This is a tin tray measuring 12 inches in diameter that was designed and made for the coronation in 1937 of King Edward VIII of England. Edward ascended to the throne of England upon the death of his father King George V in 1937 but his coronation never took place because he abdicated to marry American divorcee' Wallis Simpson. The tray is in very good ++ condition and has no dents but does show some wear. It is a marvelous practical item as well as an historical treasure.
