Description: This is a very nice, clean, precision rod level in very good condition, in the original box marked "K & E ROD LEVEL 81 0550" on the label. The brass body, round shaped level is attached to an angle iron type frame, we presume to be used along with a transit and transit rod, to be sure the rod is true at a distance up from the ground. The level is in very good condition, the black metal frame has a few minor scuffs, and also has slotted screw holes for quick attachment to the rod if desired. The frame is also marked "Keuffel - Esser Co.". The box is in very good condition also, with most of the original label intact. We have not seen another quite like it!
