Description: German beer stein made by Marzi and Remy around late 1910s. Very distinctive Jugendstil/Art Nouveau decoration in blue cobalt glaze over pottery. Marked with Marzi and Remy manufacturer's mark and the model number 2466. Pewter lid with relief portrait of Lydwig Jahn - the father of German gymnastics and the founder of "4F" sports and gymnastics movement. Excellent flawless condition, 7" tall to the top of the thumblift, 0.5L capacity.
