Description:
Beautiful German brass hand-hammered tea glass holder. The most stylish design in Jugendstil (German version of Art Nouveau) manner. From around 1910s period. It was manufactured by WMF or Wurtemburgische Metallwaren Fabrik - very famous for it's Jugendstil designs and unique silverplate technique. The designers who worked for WMF included Hans Peter, Albert Meyer, Herman Obrist, Albin Muller and Peter Behrens. The bottom is marked with WMF most famous "Ostrich" manufacturer's marks. The marks are described at .htm - please take a look. Comes with diamond-cut crystal glass. Excellent condition, no damage, no repairs. 3" tall to the top of the handle, almost 4" tall to the top of the glass.
