Description: An abstract landscape of the north end of Central Park in the winter. 23x22 inch acrylic on heavyweight paper, signed by the artist. Circa 1980’s. Joyce Rezendes studied with Diebenkorn, Oliveira and Hasegawa at California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, where she was a scholarship student for her BFA (1957) and with Kokoschka at his Summer Academy in Salzburg during her eighteen months of travel in Europe on a B. Alexander Scholarship. Living in Florence for two winters, she had a one woman show at the Casa Di Dante. She has devoted a number of years to abstractions of the Hopi Indian tribe ceremonies and lore.
