The wonderful curved bottom edge suggests an almost footed appearance. The symmetrical design gives the bell it's own distinct sound with a very pleasant tonal quality. Gong sits stable and does not require mounting, unless you prefer. Distinctly indented tribal patterns on both sides of this piece proclaim affiliations with the specific society in which the gong was originally used.
