Description: Instituted in 1963 for all U.S. services. This medal is in its presentation box & includes the bar ribbon & a miniature bar pin. The design is a high relief eagle on a green enamel background within a laurel wreath. The back reads "for military merit" & has a place for a name to be inscribed but is blank. The above measurements are of the box.
