JOHN DONALDSON
John Donaldson was born in Lewes, Sussex in 1945 and
received his initial artistic training from his grandfather, who
was an accomplished painter and part of the early British
Impressionist movement. John has been a professional artist all
his adult life. He has held exhibitions all over the world and is
renowned for his romantic portrayals of city life in Paris and
London and also the sun-filled landscapes of Southern France.
Nothing is sentimentalised in his paintings, for there is both
hard work and tranquillity in his portrayals. John has featured in
Royles Artists Britain calendar on several occasions and is
represented at galleries in Toronto, Los Angeles, Seattle, Florida,
Melbourne and London. He is a veteran of over fifty exhibitions
worldwide.
