Description: This beautiful bench is newly crafted in our Belgian Atelier, a versatile design piece, perfect for seating, use as an ottoman, or coffee table. The piece is entirely hand built in the Europe tradition, using only solid hardwoods and Old World craftsmanship. An heirloom piece of furniture built to last, the piece combines quality construction and classic styling. The 19th C. original endured for generations and we expect no less of this handsome piece.

Crafted in oak with a hand applied whitewashed finish, this handsome bench is topped with intricate hand-buttoned upholstery. The version shown is clad in rich, mottled “Aubergine” cotton velvet manufactured by “Zoffany” of England. The top has been tightly upholstered on hand-tied springs to function as a coffee table, bench or footstool. As with most beautiful antiques, the same degree of meticulous attention has been paid to the details beneath the fabric as to the finished product itself.
