Description: THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR ITEMS OF SIMILAR NATURE. Carved European (likely Italian) giltwood mirror. The glass is pear shaped and mounted in an ornately carved frame having two candle arms to the lower half of the mirror. The giltwood appears to have an over coat of gilt paint that does have age but is clearly an additional coating of gilt. Structurally this mirror is in very good shape. The glass has been replaced. Late 18th early 19th century. Measuring 36" high by 26 wide at its widest point. Striking decorative piece with character.
