Description:
Three drawer Italian bombe chest early 1900's made of very fine grained antique oak resembling walnut completely. Wonderful patina and richness to the hand rubbed finish . An abundance of raised carving in panels front and flared sides with mitered corners and additional carving. Open work oyster motif center bottom,other interesting bits of detailed carving throughout. Tiny brass knobs on top shallow drawer and brass rectangular pulls on the two deeper drawers. Perfect size for use as a side table and chest beside bed or sofa or as a stand alone piece. Excellent condition,few minute flecks of white paint top,easily removed, which suggest was around painting of surrounding wall. Measures 27.5H X 11.5D X 23L.
