Description: This large antique wooden trunk dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century, and features extensive bone inlay decoration. This chest is likely of Middle Eastern origin, or possibly from northern Africa and specifically Morocco. It measures 36.25" wide, 18.25" deep and 21" high. Hardware appears to be original, except for the screws holding the handles on the sides. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment. Thanks for visiting.
