Description: Irish Red, Son of Big Red. By Jim Kjelgaard. New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1951. Third Printing. 8vo., 224 pp., color illustrated dust jacket, tan linen-like boards with brown lettering on cover and spine, top edges tinted brown. Story of an Irish Setter name Mike, who was the son of "Big Red" - the finest bird dog in the Wintapi wilderness. But Mike was a runt, a misfit, general all-around muttonhead, and a rebel with a wonderful nose. He ends up being a wonderful hunter and proves that he is his father's son. Dust jacket has some light edges wear and light creasing, head and tail of spine are somewhat creased and have small losses, also a small loss at top front tip, price-clipped, boards clean, interior very clean and crisp, in Very Good Plus condition.
