Description: This 9-1/2" in diameter handmade metal plate has an intricate enamel decoration of a palace with a perimeter design of leaves and birds. Probably the mausoleum of the Taj Mahal that is located in Agra, India. This plate shows influences of Persian, Ottoman and Islamic styles. No maker's, material content or country of origin markings. Fair condition with some flaking on enamel around perimeter. The enamel color on the bottom is more blue than shown in the photo. I bought this at an estate sale of a well-travelled antique collector.
