Description: This fine brooch has a pierced decorated 18ct yellow gold frame set with Australian opals and Old European round cut diamonds. The brooch a central vertically set oval shaped opal, flanked on either side by two slightly smaller, horizontally set oval shaped opals. There are two x 0.25ct Old European round cut diamonds to each side of the cental opal, and a further two 0.20ct Old European round cut diamonds set the ends of the brooch. The brooch is secured to the rear with a bar pin and additional safety pin and gold link chain. This impressive brooch is claw set with fine and impressive, firey Australian opals and very good quality, clear diamonds. The brooch is fine quality and in excellent condition. Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this item, just as the colour is not truly representative of the fire, colour and opalescence displayed in the opals.
