Description:
This claret jug has a plain ewer shaped form. It has a waisted body with a reeded decorated shaped girdle onto a reeded decorated circular pedestal foot. The claret jug is fitted with a C scroll woven bamboo strip handle onto a chased acanthus leaf decorated terminal. This fine claret jug is an extremely good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the claret jug are very clear. The underside of the base has also been signed by the maker - additional maker's marks have been struck. Reflections in photography may not give a true representation of this item.
